I'm an assistant professor in the Program of Public Affairs at the University of Utah's Department of Political Science. Much of my research examines how organic food is regulated in the U.S., but I study a range of other topics, from child welfare services to how rock climbers self-regulate through community rules and norms. I teach classes in public policy, policy analysis, research design, and the intersection of governance and the economy.
